it's going to be ok

To be completely honest, I have been putting this blog to the side. It’s like I know what needs to be said, but I am struggling to write it in a smooth, gentle, and direct way. It has also been awhile since I wrote a blog to you guys that isn’t so me focused lol. So after many days of praying, brainstorming, and rewriting, let me try to get this out.

It is no coincidence that I am posting this the day before the election. I can’t say what the world will be like in the next few days depending on who wins. I can’t say who will win.

So, if the election tension is becoming overwhelming or life just isn’t what you want it to be right now, I am here to encourage you.

Like I said up above, I don’t have a lot of answers. Even if the election isn’t scaring you, and it’s just life that is weighing you down, I don’t have many answers for you either. But there are a few things that I am confident in… A few things that I know… A few things that you can take comfort in.

My mom told me this story years ago when I was still being homeschooled. It is a story that comforts me to this day. (If you know it exactly and I mess it up a little, I apologize in advance lol.) :

A man was on his death bed. He was replaying his entire life story in his head. He imagined himself walking down a beach, and he would walk up to watch each of his memories play out.

As he walked along the beach, he noticed two pairs of footprints side-by-side guiding him along. It was obvious to him that one was God’s and one was his own. As he kept walking, he began to notice that when he came across each hard trial he had faced in his lifetime, there was only one pair of footprints.

He cried out to God, “How could you? During my hardest times, You weren’t there. How could you leave me all alone?”

God responded calmly, “Those are not your footprints that you are seeing. Those are mine. I didn’t just walk next to you during your trials… I carried you.”

That is just such a sweet story to me. It is a reminder that no matter how tough life gets, God will get EVEN closer to us.

Some comforting Bible verses :

“For I know the plans, I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 … God has a plan for each of us. His plan isn’t always an easy one to follow, but in the end, the outcome is always worth it.

“Where God guides, He provides.” Isaiah 58:11 … God doesn’t just give you a plan and peaces out. He gives you what you need as long as you continue to walk with Him.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 … We can’t always see or hear God physically, but faith gives us confidence in knowing that God’s promises will be fulfilled. If we follow Him, He will never fail you. You may not understand what He is doing right way, but eventually, everything will make sense.

I could go on and on. But I am going to end by saying, one of my biggest passions in life is being an encourager. So, if this blog didn’t bring you any or enough comfort, come talk to me. I will not judge your trials, your feelings, your views, etc. I am here to listen, and I will encourage you the best I can. Sometimes, we just need to vent, and I am all ears.

Thanks so much for reading! You are ALL loved and appreciated! Feel free to message me through my blog or Instagram! I love hearing from you guys!
